Types of Precipitation

Do you know what precipitation is? If you want to know, this text is all about precipitation.
Precipitation is any form of water that falls from the clouds. Example: rain, snow, sleet, and hail are all forms of precipitation.
Rain- is the most common form of precipitation.
Sleet- is rain that freezes as it falls.
Snow- falls when the temperature in a cloud is below freezing.
Hail- forms when drops of rain freeze and strong winds carry them higher into a cloud.
When precipitation begins to fall it is not rain it is snow. If the temperature is warm it begins to rain and if the temperature is cold it snows.
So when cloud particles become too heavy to remain suspended in the air, they fall to the earth as precipitation and it occurs in a variety of forms.
